More than a Loincloth[]

Classically, the barbarian is often viewed as an over muscular character wielding a weapon with reckless abandon. While there are still tribes of warriors like this, they are rarely like people think they are. In the age of airships and firearms, the term Barbarian has taken on new meaning, referring to someone with no formal training in the combative arts.

This type of person utilises unorthodox methods of combat, and typically makes it through with intuition and pure determination. The farmer who wants to avenge her family with a big stick in hand, and fuelled by rage. Or the woodsman who lives in the snowy mountains, observes the old ways, and wrestles bears for fun. They may not be trained soldiers, or finely honed monks, but Barbarians possess a strong will and the courage to step up to the challenges ahead.
